The International Conference on Communication, Computing, and Emerging Technologies (IC3ET) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethics. We take plagiarism very seriously, as it undermines the trust in the academic community and diminishes the value of research work.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism is the unethical practice of using words, ideas, or findings from another author or source without appropriate attribution or permission. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Direct Copying: Reproducing text, figures, tables, or any other content from another source without proper citation.
  • Paraphrasing without Attribution: Rewriting someone else’s ideas or findings without giving due credit.
  • Self-Plagiarism: Reusing substantial portions of your previously published work without acknowledgment or citation of the original source.

Plagiarism Detection

All submitted papers will be subjected to a rigorous plagiarism check using advanced plagiarism detection tools (e.g., IEEE’s CrossCheck powered by iThenticate or Turnitin). The similarity index generated by these tools will be thoroughly reviewed by the conference’s technical committee.

Consequences of Plagiarism

Papers identified with significant plagiarism will face serious consequences, including:

  • Rejection of the Paper: Papers found to have plagiarized content will be automatically rejected and will not be considered for publication or presentation.
  • Notification of Institutions: In cases of severe plagiarism, the authors’ affiliated institutions may be notified.
  • Ban from Future Conferences: Authors involved in plagiarism may be banned from submitting to future conferences.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are original and that all sources of content, whether directly quoted or paraphrased, are properly cited. It is imperative that authors check their work for potential plagiarism issues before submission.

Policy on Reuse of Own Work

If authors wish to reuse portions of their previously published work, they must:

  • Clearly indicate what parts of the work have been reused.
  • Provide proper citations to the original work.
  • Ensure that the reused content does not constitute more than a minimal part of the new submission.

By submitting your paper to IC3ET, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this plagiarism policy, and you agree to abide by it. Upholding the integrity of academic publishing is a shared responsibility, and we appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the high ethical standards of our community.
